I’m very sorry to hear that Uncle Brian passed away….the memories I have of him from when I was a child are of his smile and his laugh….I remember how his eyes twinkled when he would share a story and how happy he seemed….Uncle Brian will be missed….I send my love to his nearest and dearest xoxo

We were very sorry to hear of my cousin, Brian’s, passing. I remember meeting Brian years ago in Edmonton while visiting Auntie Josie and family. May the comfort of your family and friends bring you comfort and may the Love of God bring you peace at this time of loss.

Very saddened to hear of Brian’s passing. I remember Brian and Blayne when we were all very young. Please know that Brian’s Creator has him in his loving arms now, in a better place, where there is no pain and suffering but only joy and loving care. We are with you all in our thoughts today. Upon arriving at WJ Vinyl 11 years ago now Bolder Graphics – I had the privilege of meeting this wonderful person. Lucky was always there when you needed help with something or a favour. A day never went by where we didn’t share a joke (or two), never mind the e-mails. I will miss you very much Lucky.

Having worked with Brian at Bolder for some 11 years he was always upbeat and fun to be around. My condolences to the family.

I got to know Lucky through friends and was happy to have known him, the times we had at SHOTZ will be in our memories forever. When you get there LUCKY give Sharon a hug, we are going to miss you.

Lucky, we who have worked with you could always tell when you had a new joke to tell us. Your eyes seemed to have a sparkle to them, and whether the joke was a belly laugh or a groaner, you can bet that everyone in the shop had heard the joke by the end of day. You have left us way to early, but I know you will be telling the angels around you the same jokes just to make them giggle a little. I’m proud to have a friend such as you. From my family to yours our deepest sympathies.

A friend like no other. I had the pleasure of meeting Brian in 1988 and he remained a great, sincere and kind hearted friend ever since. Many, many laughs and corny jokes that I will never forget. A true gentlemen, a true friend.

My heart felt condolences to all of Brian’s family

On behalf of Sandy and I (Tim), I extend our sincere condolences and feelings of sadness that we feel on the news of Brian’s passing. We were neighbours of Brian and Mavis in Toronto at 1 Kingswood Rd. in “The Beach” and became good friends.

We enjoyed the company of their family and friends and had the pleasure of meeting Iris and Harold at a few social events and exhibits. I was also invited to go to Harold’s farm and studio with Brian as his driver.

I’ll always remember Brian for his personal artistic skill and gifts and the beautiful forest-like wall mural that he painted on our dining room wall.

But more importantly for his gentle, good-natured and kind persona.

We hope and pray that Brian’s family and friends will find comfort in knowing that Brian will be remembered by many whose lives he touched during his life.

It was a pleasure to be a friend and co-worker with Lucky, he will be very missed.

My Condolences Brian’s Family.

Lucky was so proud of you all. Hold on to all the great memories and remember how much he loved you each and every one of you. Vern and Lucky shared so many good times together (a few too many at SHOTZ) and as only true friends do shared their not so good times. They talked often over the phone but always upbeat with little reference to their battles with cancer and even then with that dry wit. On Lucky’s last visit to see Vern, Vern greeted him, “How are you doing Lucky?” Lucky responded “We are still buying green bananas”. Lucky was always there for me and I’m so grateful for his concern and caring through a very difficult time. I have lost another dear friend.

I am extremely upset upon hearing that Lucky left us too early. I have known Lucky since my childhood where I would spend my summer months working at my fathers company WJ Vinyl Products, which would later become Bolder Graphics. I will never forget Lucky’s quick wit, comedic timing and most of all his generosity and good will. My fondest memories of Lucky come from when he would show myself and my younger brothers how all the machines in the shop worked and making a hard day at work seem like a breeze. My condolences to Lucky’s family and to the many friends lives he made better with his presence. I would like to finish off with my favourite Lucky joke:

Lucky, we love you and will never forget you.

A great friend & work associate. His creative skills always solved the crazy challenges I would bring him. He always made time for me and my customers needs. To his family we extend our condolences for your loss.

Dear Allison and the Nowell family,

Our sincere sympathies for the loss of your Dad. Although we have never had the pleasure of meeting your Dad, we have been given a glimpse of his character by spending some great times with his beautiful daughter Allison and have seen his personality shine through her. Our daughter Kelly has many fond memories of her times with Brian and will sadly miss him. May God hold him in the hollow of His hand.
