Condolences
Please accept my sincere sympathy on the death of your father. I knew him through the Ski Patrol many years ago, but will not forget his smile and amazing gentleness with our patients on the ski hills. He was a good man.
We are so very sorry to hear of the passing of Ad. He was a wonderful volunteer at the Olympic Oval and will be missed.
I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. He was such a great guy. He’d go “over and beyond” his duties volunteering. IF he would’ve been able to bend over backwards and hold his ankles, I bet he would. There was nothing he wouldn’t do and he’d NEVER grumble or refuse any tasks. BUT this was always done with a smile on his face. And to meet someone so giving and loyal, that was Ad. He sure would put a lot of us to shame. He was a wonderful gentle man, and is surely going to be missed.
I was a young Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus and I remember that many times, Ad would help me carry my responsibilities with advice, friendship and support. He would remind me why we were members and tell me of his own experiences in such a calm and authoritative voice that I could not help but smile. Today, I will help carry Ad to his rest in the knowledge that within ten minutes of being in heaven, Ad will probably be volunteering. Ad, may God Bless you and your family.
Michelle, Liana and Sheldon,
We are sorry for your loss. We are thinking of you and praying for you.
Best Regards, Brad & Catharine Gimbel

Dear Liana & Michelle,
I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad, I met him on a couple of occasions when he was in Oak Ridges visiting your Nonna Anna. Your grandmother spoke so lovingly of your Dad and the times that she spent with all of you at your family home. Please accept our deepest condolences. He will live on in the cherished memories that you keep close to your heart.

On behalf of the staff and volunteers at the Museum, we offer our sincere condolences.
Ad was a committed and faithful volunteer.
Our sympathy to his family.
We have very fond memories of Ad Fior at the Aero Space Museum of Calgary. Ad was a cheerful and knowledgeable tour guide, much admired by students and adults alike, to whom he gave tours of our hangar, and by our volunteers and employees. We are sad to learn that Ad has passed away at the age of 76 and send sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Best regards, Shirlee Matheson

Dear Michelle, Sheldon and Liana,
We are so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. There were many memories of “Mr. Fior” on band trips, helping at the Stampede and volunteering during the Olympics in ’88. He was such a great volunteer and gave back so much. Please accept our condolences and our thoughts are with all of you.
