On behalf of all Calgary Optometry Centre doctors and staff, we offer our condolences to our co-worker and friend Janet as well as the entire Evans family, for your loss.
We were very sorry to hear the news about Don. We remember him as a very kind man with a lovely sense of humour. Our thoughts and prayers are with Joyce and his family.
Dear Joyce Evans and family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences regarding the passing of Don. He was my supervisor at the Alberta Wheat Pool for the five years I was employed in the photography and printing department. As far as employers go, Don was very kind, considerate and fair. I was privileged to attend many social activities with him and thoroughly enjoyed his sense of humor. Both Don and Larry Westover hired me directly out of SAIT and provided me with my first significant employment role. When I left the Wheat Pool in 1980 to manage my family’s business, Don and I were still good friends and acquaintences. I have never forgotten Don’s friendly manner nor will I forget him as being a wonderful person.

Please accept our heart felt condolences
for your loss.
Don was an exceptionally kind, gentle, good-natured man who was very close to the Crawfords. Blessed with a wonderful sense of humour and a generous spirit, one felt immediately comfortable in Don’s presence. We miss him. Our prayers are with Joyce and the whole family. May God grant strength and peace in this time of loss, and hope in God’s promise of reunion in the life to come.
