Obituary of OVERLAND – Shirley Ellen

January 28, 1930 – March 18, 2010 Shirley Ellen Overland passed away on Thursday March 18, 2010 at the age of 80 years. She was born on January 28, 1930 in Champion Alberta and married Oswald Lloyd Overland on September 23, 1950. She worked with the United Church as a Sunday school teacher, and she served as a Brown Owl for 8 years with the Girl Guides of Canada. Her biggest passions were her grandchildren, great grand children and crossword puzzles. Besides her loving husband Oswald, Shirley is survived by her children; Sharon, Allan (Vivian) and Kathy, her seven grandchildren; Denise, Luke, Kimberley, Raymen, Angela, Shanon and Kyle, great grandchildren Trenton, Harper, Paityn and Dylan, as well as her twin sister Joyce Fath. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
