Please accept my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy. Norma had a zest for life and she was always lots of fun . I have many fond memories of spending time with Norma at Stampede functions and Flames games. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal but love leaves a memory no one can steal.{ An Irish quote.}Fondly Patty
I just learned of your mom’s death. I know that our mother’s were friends for years before
we met in Young Canadians, so I considered our association in YC’s as special. It is so
difficult when a family member dies and you hurt so much because you cannot share time
and space any longer on this earth. Even when someone is ill and struggling to get well
the finality of death is enormous. Your mom was always very nice to me and I just want
you to know that I’m glad you had such a wonderful relationship. Thankfully you have beautiful
memories to hold dear to your heart. I am writing this because I want you to know she touched
our YC’s lives with her kindness and mothering qualities.
Hello Bill, Jan and Lori – Norma was Mum’s oldest and best friend and with her passing a beautiful link to Mum is extinquished. We had such a good time with her in Victoria two years ago. Our thoughts are with you all today and every day. Love, Emma and Ron Hall
Hello Lori and Jan
I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing, I know how much she meant to you and the entire family. Your mom was an amazing woman… kind, compassionate and caring. She was a gentle spirit and I will remember her with great fondness and warmth.
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Jan & Gary, Beth, Kristin & Billy, and their Papa,
We mourn with you in the passing of your beloved Nana. We understand your sadness. May God’s peace and strength rule in your hearts.
Bill, Jan, Lori and Family,
Norma touched my life many years ago when we arrived in Calgary. Bill worked at BP with my Dad, Vince Vianello. Norma generously hosted a wedding shower, baby shower and going away party for me. She also put me in touch with Jan when I found out I was having twins. What a beautiful, elegant and gracious lady Norma was. Her kindess will not be forgotten. I am truly sorry for your loss.

To Bill, Jan & Lori, my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Norma. I have many fond memories of her when she was one of my more jovial and cooperative Guiding Mothers. I feel privileged to have had her as a friend during my younger years and she was a role model in many ways. May your memories of her be your strength at this time.

Dear Bill and family,
It is with sadness that we learn of Norma’s passing. We knew her through our association with Lela and met her with you many times. She was a wonderful person and I found out so much more about all she had done in her obituary.

Bill, Jan and Lori and extended family. Our deepest condolences to you all.
Bill – you and Norma made us feel like family when we were there and our fondest memories are of sitting around your living room listening to your stories. Norma’s laugh was so contagious. May you find comfort in the laughter, love and memories you both shared for over 60 years.
