My wife and I have known Ron and Darlene for a number of years and it truly has a been a pleasure. We have been next door neighbours with Ron and Darlene here in Calgary. I have known Ron to be interesting, intelligent, engaging and very forthright. He and I share a love for vintage high performance Ford vehicles and definitely bonded as a result of this common interest. He confided in me and I would love to share some of his thoughts. He loved his wife Darlene with all his heart and was an extremely proud father to his sons. His entire persona seemed to swell as he went on to describe his pride for his boys. Ron was an accomplished business man and builder and I was very fortunate have known him for the time he and Darlene have been our neighbours. It brings me sadness to have to type this condolence but I believe it will bring his family some comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on within his sons.
