Obituary of HUTTON – Robert Stuart

January 31, 1920 – February 26, 2010 Stuart Hutton, beloved husband of Diane of Calgary, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the age of 90 years. Born in England, Stuart came to Canada in February 1953. He served in the British and Indian Armies from 1939 to 1946, being discharged with the rank of Captain. After many varied jobs, he joined AADAC in 1969, retiring in 1985. A long time member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Stuart was active in many areas related to the illness of alcoholism. On retirement he curled with the Calgary Old Timers Curling Club and lawn bowled with CLBC. In Canada, Stuart is survived by his loving wife Diane; Diane’s children, Denise Lecuyer, Rocky (Gail) Desjardins, Sylvain Desjardins; and grandchildren, Elise, Kirk and Kirstie. He is also survived by his niece Sallie (Malcolm) Johnson. He is survived by sisters, Mollie Eldridge and Joyce (Tony) Walker; and their children and grandchildren, all of England. Stuart will be surely missed by his many family and friends.
