Condolences
I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Brent. I’m proud to have known such a kind warm and brillant person. My prayers and thoughts are with him and with those he left behind.
Parker and Jenica, it is with great sorrow that we heard of Brent’s passing. He was a great friend and we will miss him greatly. We are out of the country and will not be able to attend his memorial but our thoughts are with you all. Clive and Eleanor Griffin-Beale
It was a sad day when I heard about Brent. We were not very close the last few years, although have many good memories. Lots of good road trips. “Beer Here”!
I would like to express my sincere condolences to Brent’s family. In our youth Brent like many of us attended the UofS, he was the life of the party. He was a very kind and generous person. I moved to Calgary in 1980 and Brent let me live with him for three months until my wife arrived. He insisted that we continue to stay with him until we found an apartment, what a guy. I ran in to him a number of summers ago in Waskesiu, and as he walked across the road all I could hear was “Hey Coop.” He will be deeply missed.

Brent was and always will be in my eye a great guy! Spending time with Brent in the Prince Albert National Park (Waskesiu) was an honour! I got the feeling of someone who had really “made it” especially when I would hear him say “well, where would you rather be” it forced me to appreciate the parks natural beauty even more, totally take in the absolutely awesome cottage Brent bought(his childhood dream), the great company I was surrounded by, my father(Bill), my uncle(Pat) and my pal cousin Parker! There are too many others to mention here but one thing that must be mentioned is the great gratitude I have for you Brent for bringing us all together in your Shangri-La! There were things I was looking forward to sharing with you and Parker but knowing that you are at peace allows me to put them to rest! I will however follow through on the bird hunting with Parker, I promise to keep hitting my drives long for Parker to beat, and catch a few Salmon on your behalf! Thank you Brent for all that you have done, it was a real treat making memories with you!
It was with great sadness that we received the news of Brent’s passing from his good friend Dave. We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Parker and to Brent’s family and friends.
Our friendship extended over more than 40 years. There are lots of great memories to cherish from the the early PA, University and Stampede years up to the latest Waskesiu years and to Bob’s recent visits to Mill Bay. Brent will be missed.
We were saddened this morning to hear of Brent’s passing
Len and I extend our deepest sympathy to Parker, Jenica and family.
I came to know Brent during summers [15] at Waskesiu where he could be counted on to be picking up, dropping off, driving the boat or out on a g.p.s adventures with Parker and friends. My grandchildren Sam & Alexa were beneficiaries of his generosity. Brent will be missed.
We wish to extend our deepest condolences to Brent’s family and many friends, especially to Parker who he was so proud of and loved so deeply.
We didn’t have the privilege of knowing Brent for a long time but in the short time we had together we grew to love him and he became a big part of our family. We shared so many great times together.
It is hard to believe that he has left us and that we won’t hear his golf cart arriving for a visit. I will miss his “Hi Sweetheart” and his big hugs and Dave will miss his “How’s it going Cappie”.
He was a wonderful man and a great friend and we will miss him very much. He will never be forgotten.
Our thoughts are with Parker and family at this time. We have fond memories of Brent, as a devoted dad, at Waskesiu over the years. In recent summers Sam enjoyed many days out on the boat with Brent driving and the kids having lots of fun on the tube behind! Precious memories to cherish at this difficult time! In friendship…
My deepest sympathy to the Rawlinson family. Brent and I met in our early UofS days and always remained close friends. In recent years we spoke on the telephone often and at the end of our conversation I would ask him what’s for dinner and he would usually answer either “rib eye and baked potato” or else “shepherd’s pie.” (a true prairie boy)
Parker, you were always the apple of your dad’s eye.
To a real man’s man. May he now rest in comfort.
Please rememeber,
When the Riders howl, the Leafs dwindle, Superbowl cheers;
Brent is Gone.
For parties he did not make and friends he did not meet,
I am sure Brent is having a feast and good jokes with Father in Heaven.
Mighty God showers him with blessings in Heaven and his loved ones on Earth.
Deepest sympathy to the Rawlinson family especially to Parker.
Please remember your father and Father will smile with you in times of joy and lift you in times of turmoils.
Might peace be with everyone who knew and love Brent
I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the Rawlinson family. Introduced to Brent in 1988 by long time friends from Saskatchewan, I enjoyed getting to know him. I had the upmost respect for him as a friend and enjoyed his company and wonderful sense of humour. He will be sorely missed.
We were saddened to hear about Brent’s passing. Although we have not seen him for quite sometime, whenever we did was always interesting and fun. We would reminisce about the past, have lots of laughs and even when we told him he was a grumpy old man he would just smile and often pay the tab. Brent was a good man. Cheers buddy, you will be missed.
