Condolences
Dear Donaldson family,
It is with deepest sympathy that we send greeting on to you and the family. We are your cousins from the states, Lorna, and Sandi. Our sister Elaine passed away back in 1985 I believe it was. Elaine and family who lived in Plattsburgh, N.Y. would often make the trip to Montreal to visit with Jack, and his sister Margaret. While Aunt Christie was still alive there in the convent in Montreal they would also visit her. Elaine’s son Jami now in his fifties was always taken up with Uncle Jack as we knew him, and sent for Jack’s military records. Your father/grandfather received many medal for his dedicated service during WW1. Some of the family have been working on http://www.ancestry.com, and have posted some of Jack medal’s there along with an old photo my mother, Mary Williams, Aunt Mae or Aunt Anna had of him. One other bit of news from back East, your cousin John Angus Kennedy, and his brothers on the farm there in McCrimmon’s Corners Ontario were asking for you. They often wonder what happened to Jack’s kids.
Bloomfield, New York
Your mom I believe came down to Aunt Anna’s 80th birthday, along with other members of the family. Give our love to all.
With love and Sympathy
Sandi Knopf
