Condolences
When I saw Garry’s picture, I was transported back to my days as a kid growing up in Bowness and even going to school with Dale. Enjoyed frequent visits to Crystal Grocers (Garry’s) buying little brown bags full of candy or picking up bread or milk for home (and putting in our “account” – which Mom or Dad would come and take care of weekly). Such a big part of my fond childhood memories. My thoughts go to you all at this time.
For Dabby,
Sorry to read of your father’s passing.
Ruth (Myers) King – school mate at Bowness High
For Daniel and your Family,
Sorry to hear of your father’s passing. My condolences to you and your family during this very tough time. Take care!
Dear Fong Family,
My condolences to you on Garry’s passing. I feel I should call him “Uncle” Garry. I recall him as the nice man with the long white apron behind the counter at Garry’s. He was always friendly to the kid from the “other” store, Bow Foods. Even long after he retired, we still spoke of him. My parents also retired and sold off the store nearly 10 years ago. And dad (Albert) passed away 2 years ago. The memories of our parents’ generation lingers. If you’d like an opportunity to connect and reminisce, please feel free to contact me and we’ll have a coffee at the Dell Cafe. On behalf of the whole Yee family, please accept our condolences.
Dear Danny and family,
When I saw Gary’s photo in the paper, I was reminded of my high school days. Many stops to buy things at lunch or on the way to school. Sending you wishes of peace and fond memories.
Years back we lived in Bowness. Our children went to Crystal Groc. often as we did alot of shopping there. We haven’t seen Garry in years but knew Danny his son in Carstairs, as I delivered Auto trader there. So sorry for your family loss our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
