Obituary of HOLLOHAN – Brian
September 8, 1953 – January 14, 2010
Brian Douglas Hollohan passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a short, but brave battle with cancer.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Paula and their two sons, Liam and Evan; his parents, Reverend Ronald and Mary Hollohan; brother Sean (Dee); sisters, Sharon (John Larson) and Colleen (Peter Woloshyn); and many nieces and nephews.
Brian was born in Nova Scotia. From Carleton University in Ottawa, ON he received his Masters and PhD in Economics. Brian was a devoted family man. He enjoyed and instilled in his sons a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning. As a family, they had many camping and hiking adventures, and enjoyed hours together in hockey arenas. Brian was blessed with numerous close friendships.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (1414 Shawnessy Boulevard S.W.) on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
