Condolences
13 January 2010
Dear Marie: We were saddened to hear of Jack’s passing. The love of your family must be a great comfort to you in this trying time. We often remember the fantastic three days we spent at your place in Calgary in 1996 (can it possibly be 14 years ago?) with some of the old WCI bunch. When Laurie Branch called the other day only one of the fond memories we spoke of was of him walking through our basement bedroom to get to the washroom.
Our prayers are with you and your family. Godspeed Jack.

We will miss John’s bright happy face. Marie, we are all here for you, anytime.

Deepest sympathy to Marie and the Davis family. I am an old high school friend of Jacks and knew Jack through my sister Devona. He was respected by the teaching faculty and loved by the other students. Jack was not only an athlete but and intellectual and enjoyed writting even then. Jack had a great sense of humour and compassion for others. I can well believe that he was a great Papa to his grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Jack will also be missed by everyone who ever met him.
