Obituary of CLARKE – Harris Millard

March 15, 1921 – January 8, 2010 Harris Millard Clarke of Calgary, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2010 at the age of 88 years. Harris was born in Mirror, AB. He loved hunting, fishing, curling, race horses, and travelling throughout Alberta in his RV. Harris was employed with Dominion Bridge for 40 years, retiring in 1983. Harris is survived by son Norman and daughter-in-law Janet; daughter Mary Jane Scheifele and son-in-law Sid; grandchildren, Matt Martel (Cathy) and Shannon Thomsen (Gord); great-grandsons, Benjamin, Nicholas and Karson. He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Pete Chitrenky, Walter Chitrenky, Evelyn Chitrenky, Alice Chitrenky, Marion Chitrenky; and numerous nieces and nephews. Harris was predeceased by his wife Virginia; son John; brothers-in-law, John, Harry, and Paul; and sister-in-law Jean. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 1:00p.m. Graveside Service to follow in the “Garden of Devotion” at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
