Obituary of PIRIE – John Gavin

November 6, 1926 – January 3, 2010 John went home to be with our Lord Jesus on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the age of 83 years. John will now be reunited with his wife, our dear mother Jessie, who passed away in 1999. John will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters and son-in-law Jane (Lawrence) Hughes and Joyce Pirie; a sister and extended family in Calgary and Scotland. Dad was a very kind and gentle man who was strong in his faith, loved his family, photography, long walks, music, nature, and not to forget the New York Yankees. Funeral Services will be held at the Grace Presbyterian Church (1009 – 15 Avenue S.W.) on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
