To Vern, children & grandchildren, Glen and Lila and families: I was shocked to hear of Irene’s illness and sudden passing. She always called me her “little cousin”, and I will long remember our times growing up and our trip overseas. She had such a great time dancing at Darrell’s wedding, and that is how I shall keep her memory in my heart. My deepest condolences and prayers go out to all.

It is with great saddness I send my deepest condolences to Vern, Stephen, Cathy, Frankie, Chantelle and Cassidy. Growing up I have many fond memories with the Nelson family camping, skidooing and just hanging out in your home (usually Cathy and I torchering Stephen). As I think back to these fond memories I can’t ever think of a time when I saw Irene mad. This keeps going over and over in my mind because now as a mother myself I know how easily kids can work on your last nerve yet for as much time as I spent with you all I can’t even think of how Irene looks when she was mad because I never seen it. Amazing lady!!! It has been a few years since I have seen her but I can still hear her laugh. I have one of her very special cross stich pieces she had given me for my wedding and I will always hold it dear to my heart. It’s a very sad time!! If there is anything I can do for any of you PLEASE let me know, I would love to help in any way.

Vern, Stephen, Cathy, Frankie, Chantelle and Cassidy. I am very sorry to hear about Irene’s passing. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. Growing up she was a special neighbor who has touched many hearts and changed lives for the better. We are all better for knowing her.
