Obituary of DICKIE – Kathleen

February 9, 1910 – November 12, 2009 Kathleen (Kay) Dickie beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at the Forest Grove Care Centre on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the age of 99 years. Kay was born and raised in Montreal, QC and moved to Calgary at the age of 80 to be closer to her family. The eldest of eight children born to John and Hellen McCrudden, Kathleen remained close to all her siblings and their families throughout her life. The birth of her two great-grandchildren in 2005 and 2006 were special events that brought her great joy. Kay is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Judy Dickie of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Kimberley (Grant) MacEachern and Craig (Tracy) Dickie of Calgary, AB; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Sean Dickie of Calgary, AB; sisters, Geraldine Sheridan of Oakville, ON and Hazel Gareau of Montreal, QC; sister-in-law, Olivia McCrudden of St. Eustache, QC; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews who held Auntie Kay in high regard. Kay was predeceased by her husband William in 1981, and by her elder son William Ross in 1986. Kay will be laid to rest with her husband at Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal, QC.
