Friendship isn’t a big thing – it’s a million little things. It’s over 40 years of memories, laughter, card playing, New Years dances, house parties, fishing, camp-fires, Sunday picnics at the campsites on 14, raspberries, the lazy days of summer at the lake sitting in the shade watching the water and never saying a lot but walking away feeling like that was the best conversation we’ve ever had.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same. Alfred and Stella were truly great friends to both John and myself and to our family and everyone knows that great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.
