Obituary of REIMER – Harvey Ronald
December 16, 1937 – November 2, 2009
With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Harvie Reimer on November 2nd, 2009 at the age of 71 years. He was welcomed into eternal life by his Heavenly Father.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Betty-Ruth, daughters Cheryl (Andrew) Wright, Heather (Steve) Osmond, son Greg (Gonda) Reimer and sister Gladys Cookson.
Harv was “Papa”, “Grandpa” and biggest fan of his nine grandchildren, Jared, Joel, Jonny, Bretton, Dawson, Evangeline, Ethan, Avalon and Miriam. Harv loved the Lord Jesus, his Saviour, and demonstrated this through a life lived with integrity, dignity, servanthood, and wisdom. He was loved by all who knew him. He was born in Regina, Sask and met and married Betty-Ruth on April 7, 1962 in Winnipeg. His career included business planning and market research in Winnipeg, Kitchener, and Ottawa. As a federal servant, in public service, he worked in Ottawa for 25 years. After retirement, they left many dear friends in Ottawa and moved to Calgary to be closer to family where they easily made new wonderful friends. Harv was a great mentor, leader and his gentle spirit drew people to him. He was blessed with artistic talent that was demonstrated through painting, photography and carving. Every photograph was the next painting. Harv enjoyed his art classes as he developed his God given talents. Now, he will sit with the Lord and learn from the Master.
