Obituary of MAURER – Sandra Gayle

June 6, 1965– October 29, 2009 Sandra Gayle Maurer, beloved wife of Randy Charles Maurer and mother of Blake (8), and Gavin (5), died on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Rockyview Hospital at the age of 44 years. Sandra was born on June 6, 1965 at the Grace Hospital in Calgary. Sandra taught for twenty-two years, through which she touched the lives of her many former students in Nanton, Claresholm, and Calgary. Sandra was a blessing and a gift to those who knew her; she will be sorely missed and never forgotten by those who loved her most. Besides her loving husband Randy and her devoted children, Blake and Gavin, Sandra is also survived by her parents, Walt and Irma Glanville; sister Janet (James) Furseth; father and mother- in-law, Jim and Georgette Maurer; brothers-in-law, Bruce (Rena) Maurer and their children, Katie, Matthew, Victoria (Mike) Hutchinson, and their children; and Brian (Silvana) Maurer and their children, Megan, Jake and Sydney. Sandra is also remembered by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues, and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Berthold Wenzel in 1983 and Leonard Glanville in 1997.
