Condolences
It’s late – but I wanted you to know how very sorry I am to hear about Fred.
My memories go back from before any of us were married, and you and Marge came into town with him on the Stampede train – to some laughs at Kootenay Lake when he burned his feet water-skiing years later.
At this sad time, you and your family have my deepest sympathy.
Sincerely,
Shirley Jamieson

What a wonderful childhood to have the pleasure of spending so much time with the marvelous Wilmot clan. My condolences at the loss of the leader of the cherished pack.
Carol and family —
Sorry to learn of Fred’s passing. Although our paths have not crossed in many years we still remember with
fondness our families playing together.
Best regards.

Harry, Mrs Wilmot and Family,
I was so sad to hear of Mr. Wilmot’s passing. Although it has been many years, I will always remember the many times I spent with your family. I hope the memories of your time together will help ease this very difficult time. My thoughts are with all of you.

As a McGill student(BA’53)and loyal supporter of the Redmen; I remember the excitement generated when Coach Obeck brought in Fred, Harry Irving and Baldy Tomlinson from the West. Now we had something to cheer about and to help us forget Dr. Roscoe’s edict against cheerleaderettes. I remember Carol and Bevans as casual friends (our fathers were competitors in the Textile business). Please forgive my indulging in some memories and accept my condolences.
Carol, I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your husband. I never had the chance to tell you while we were swimming together, but my husband and I were at the Stampeder game when they honored your husband. I got goose pimples during the standing ovation. Who would have thought that a few years later, I would get to know and respect the wife of this man. It always amazes me that people’s lives touch and intersect in ways we can’t predict. You must have wonderful memories of your life with Fred. Take care and hope to see you back in the pool soon.

Dear Carol,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Mom and Dad were so close to you both over the many years that it was natural for me to call you “Uncle” and “Auntie.” So many happy adventures and all the laughs were shared over the years. I personally remember the ski trips, but there were also the stories from 25 years of Florida trips you did with Mom and Dad. I think there was a few hunting trip “adventures” in there too somewhere. I thought Uncle Freddy had such a great sense of humour and zest for life. We are all so sad to hear the news. A big hug from us…

Carol and Harry: Just want you to know I share your sorrow. I’m sure you have a myriad of happy memories to support you at this sad time and for years to come. My thoughts go back to happy days when Harry and Bruce were young and carefree and launching rockets on Brodylo’s farm. Take care. Bev Newmarch and Bruce.
Dear Carol,
Please accept our sympathy and support at this sad time. Fred was an inspiration to many of my generation, a gentle man, interested and enthusiastic about all that life offered. He surely is in God’s good hands now.
Sincerely,
Fred Valentine
Dear Carol,
I was so sorry to read the sad news about Fred this morning.
In sorrow we remember the special times of the past, the summer evenings at Stone House Point, enjoying all our frinds who had cottages there, especially your parents and siblings.
It was a long time ago but the memories are precious.
I will keep you in my prayers.
Affectionately, “Rusty” O’Reilly Joy.
