Obituary of AUSTIN – Joyce Marcella

July 4, 1943 – October 16, 2009 Joyce passed away peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. Joyce was predeceased by her beloved parents, Mary and Alex Hantiuk, and her adored identical twin Judy Wish Hamilton. Joyce and Judy were born in Willingdon, Alberta and spent their early years on the farm in Hairy Hill. Joyce met and married John Austin in Edmonton. They and his two sons enjoyed living in the U.S.A., Australia and South Africa. In 1990 she returned to Alberta and worked in the Premier’s office in Calgary until 2007. Joyce will be sadly missed by her extended family and many good friends. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Cremation has taken place. A sincere thank you to the staff at Sarcee Hospice for their wonderful care and attention these past few weeks.
