Obituary of Harold Dale JONES

July 24, 1930 – October 15, 2009 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Dale Jones, after a brave battle with illness. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Eileen Jones (nee Allbright), his daughter, Nicole Jones Bradac, her husband David; his grandchildren, Roman and Petra; his sister Esther and her husband Colin Hughes; and will be greatly missed by relatives and friends worldwide. Dale graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BSc. in Geology and moved to Calgary to pursue a career in the oilpatch. Dale loved sports, he was a dedicated runner, hiker, skier and pioneer windsurfer. He was provincial sailing champion for the Enterprise class for several years and taught sailing at the Glenmore Sailing Club. He prized gardening and the outdoors, and will be remembered for his commitment to environmental and social causes, as well as the arts. A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held at Pinebrook Golf and Country Club (166 Pinebrook Way S.W.) on Monday October 26, 2009, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Please forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
