Obituary of Charles Arthur Stuart BULMER
August 18, 1933 – October 4, 2009
‘Charlie’ passed away at Bethany Centre Cochrane on Sunday, October 4th, 2009 at the age of 76 years.
He was born in Bassano, Alberta and later graduated with a BSc in Geology in 1956 from the University of Alberta. He then moved to Calgary and worked for over 40 years as a geologist with Sproule Associates Limited until his retirement in 1997. Charlie had a variety of interests throughout his life, including a love of many sports. He actively played hockey, tennis, and golf until late in life. He will be dearly remembered for his wonderful sense of humour, outgoing personality, intelligence, patience, and joy for life.
Charlie will be lovingly remembered by his wife Agnes, with whom he recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. He is also survived by his daughter Diane Bulmer (husband Brent Toner) of Calgary; his son Scott Bulmer of Vancouver; three sisters – Sandy Richel of Athabasca, Judy (Richard) Zwicker of Edmonton, and Brenda (Jim) Morris of Qualicum Beach; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

In living memory of Charles Bulmer, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
