Please accept my condolences, although we have not met. I remember my Mother, Marjorie Rempel, nee Lomas, daughter of Henry Lomas, speaking of him when I was growing up. He sounds like an amazing man!

I am the granddaughter of William John Lomas b. 1872 in Staffordshire, brother of George Lomas b. 1866 who was M.Earl’s grandfather. For many years I have been trying to write a biographical history of our ancestors and have quite a few records. I would love to correspond with you to share some information.

My mother, Terry and I were so very sorry to learn of your father’s passing. It is such a trying time for the family. We know all that you are feeling right now and have every sympathy. Our thoughts have been with you. I often think of the afternoon when I thought we were meeting at your parent’s home and your mother and I had a lovely visit complete with ice tea!! She will need you and your siblings very much now. Enjoy being with her now as your visits will be very special to her in the days and times to come.
