Condolences
Steve, I just heard the news about Joanie on Sunday and I am saddened. Joanie was helping me with a difficult time in my life just before she left Janus and I will never hear the phrase again “Paulette, it’s time to put your big girl panties on and deal with this” without thinking of Joanie and smiling.
For you Steve I remember through our years of working together how much she meant to you. One morning you came to work and Joanie had been out of town and returned and you told me “I took Joanie out to dinner last night – she looked good”. I believe for you every time Joanie walked through the door life was just a little bit better than it had been just a moment ago.
Both you and Joanie have left your footprints in my life. Thank You!
Paulette

I will never forget Joanie’s infectious laugh. I can still hear it when I close my eyes. She was an old soul and the most courageous woman I have ever met. Forever looking after others and giving great advice like “Put you big girl panties on!” In the last few months she talked often of her new grandson and was looking forward to his arrival. Now she is an angel forever watching over you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Steve, Matt, Kelly, and family,
Just a note to express our heartfelt condolences regarding Joanie’s passing. She was a very dear friend and a remarkable woman, and her loss leaves big holes in our hearts. We hope your grief can be at least somewhat tempered by the wonderful memories you have of her.

Steve, Matt and Kelly:
We are so very sorry for your loss of Joanie but hope you can take solace in knowing she will live on in your hearts and memories, and the hearts and memories of so many people who knew and loved her.
Both Pam and I enjoyed Joanie for her feisty personality, sparkling eyes, quick laugh and charming smile. Joanie was a wonderful friend to Pam and I know they shared many laughs on the tennis court, golfing, hiking or jetting off to Vegas for the weekend. I think they also shared many glasses of wine that may have lead to many of the laughs.
We will be thinking of you all as you go through this very difficult time.
With our deepest sympathy,
Brad and Pam Stevens

Dear Steve, Matt & Family,
Joanie was one of most inspiring people I have known by her strength, sense of humour and postive energy as she moved through her life – family, work and fun. Her committment to her friends and family and her caring for people warms my heart as I think of her and it will forever so.
My best wishes for you all
Dear Steve, Matthew, Kelly and families:
We are absolutely shocked and so very sad to read of Joanie’s passing, we had no idea she had been so ill. We can still hear her wonderful laugh and picture her beautiful presence with us in the 80’s at parties and West Hillhurst at hockey games. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. We send you our Deepest Sympathy and prayers at this very sad time.
Your old friends, Greg & Maureen Ramage

Dear Steve,
