Condolences
It was with great sadness that we learned of Phil’s passing. Phil was a remarkable man in so many ways. He was accomplished, intelligent, funny, kind … Most importantly, he was a loving person who was devoted to his family and friends.
Phil was a special friend to Norma and Lino Massolin as he was special to all who knew and loved him at Ascension Parish. His kind smile, endearing laugh and beautiful voice will be missed by us all.
We wish to send our love and prayers to Jackie, Terri and Andy in this very trying time. We will never forget Phil and the great impact he had on of our lives.
With our condolences and all of our love, Lino and all the rest of the Massolin Family.
My deepest sympathy Jackie to you and family. I always wanted to come to see you when in Calgary, but plans always change. I think about you often. Be strong and remember the good times.
Love MaryAnn.

Our heart felt condolences from our family to yours.
Phil was indeed larger than life and wonderful man, with a gift of humor and ability to connect with others. We will miss him greatly. We will always think of him with fondness and smile at the memory of our conversations, walks and laughs
Jackie, Terri and family,
Phil was a friendly face at Ascension Parish for years. I always enjoyed our conversations after mass, as did my parents. He had a beautiful voice and I still remember him singing at mass, especially his beautiful Christmas ‘Ave Maria’. We were blessed to have him sing at my father’s funeral. I’m so sorry to hear he has passed. Please accept my condolences and prayers for your family. He was a lovely man.
We are very saddened by your loss and want you to know that our prayers are with you and your family. And be assured that God cares and will soon wipe away death and bring our loved ones back again. Rev. 21:4

Our thoughts and prayers to Jackie and all members of the De Souza family. Special if’s to Alexander from your PEI family. God Bless.
Dear Jackie and family:
Our hearts go out to you at this very sad time in your lives. Phil was a sweet and charming man who always seemed content. But the thing about Phil that stands out most to me was his beautiful, rich voice harmonizing with the rest of the choir members in his years of being in the choir at Ascension Parish. His singing of Ave Maria at Christmas and the Exultat at the Easter Vigil moved everyone. He was a man of faith and he inspired others to be. Our prayers are with you all.
Love,
Carol and Gerry
Our hearts are broken, but full of gratitude for the life of Phil and his presence in our lives. We knew, and were the recipients of, his capacity to love those who entered his life and touched his heart. We experienced the generosity of his spirit through the sharing of a beloved grandson, Alexander. We were touched by the grace of his concern and interest in the happenings in our lives. We delighted in his mischievous sense of humor, which left us either laughing or groaning depending on just how ‘punny’ he became. In our experience his family reflects this example of humanity he chose to live out daily. We are truly blessed by their presence in our lives. Our love,
Jackie and family
