Obituary of DEL PAPA – Evelyne Yolande Marie Alice

September 26, 1946 – August 28, 2009 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Evelyne Del Papa, much loved wife, mother, and friend, who passed away at the Rosedale hospice on Friday, August 28, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 62 years. Evelyne was born in Morris, Manitoba on September 26, 1946. Evelyne moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1968 and was married to her loving husband of thirty-nine years, Mario, on August 15, 1970. Evelyne was a member of the Bethel United Reformed Church and will be forever remembered for her compassion towards others, her giving nature and her kind spirit. Evelyne enjoyed gardening, playing with her grandson and Sunday night dinners with her family. Besides her loving husband, Evelyne is survived by a son Daniel Del Papa; a daughter and son-in-law, Kristina and Darren Sagan; and a grandson Vincent Del Papa. She is also survived by her mother Agnes Vermette; five sisters, Theresa and Leo Poirier, Doris Beaulieu, Lynne and Daniel Ellis, Denise and Mark Schmalz, Louise Moore; and a brother Henry and Leanne Vermette and their families. Evelyne was predeceased by her father Lucien Vermette and her brother Louis Vermette. A Memorial Service will be held at Bethel United Reformed Church (730 – 101st Street S.W.) on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
