Condolences
Dear family members and friends of Vic Sawyer – I knew Vic through Colonial Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Missouri and more specifically through the Abounding Love program, which is a ministry honoring adults with disabilities. Vic would show up to help us on a Monday night, sometimes totally out of the blue but always with a servant’s heart. He was always a joy to talk to and was very easy to get to know and to relate to. He will be missed by many, I’m sure, but he is home at last in the arms of his heavenly father, our Lord and Savior. May his life serve as an inspiration to others.
We were so saddened to hear of Victors passing. Victor came in regularly for prayer here at the Healing Rooms searching for a closer relationship with our Lord. We now know that he has what he so desired for in life. He was such a caring and generous man and we will miss him dearly.

So sorry to hear of Victor passing. I met Victor while he was in Southwest Kansas and always enjoyed talking with him. He was always friendly and respectful when we were together. He always spoke so highly of Katie and as you know was very proud. Best of luck to all of you.
I knew Vic in 1962-63 when he was in the ElDorado, Ks. area. He went by Vic Hines at the time, I’m not sure why. He was a fun, handsome, good friend. He didn’t go to high school with us in ElDorado, but seems like he lived in a neighboring town. Just a few weeks ago, I asked my husband Dwight if he ever knew what happened to Vic Hines, and then last week we saw the obit of a Victor Sawyer and it was w/out a picture, but the mention of Calgary, and the age made me think of Vic. I knew he had been from Calgary, or had gone to Calgary and was in cattle business after the sixties. Please know that we would have been at the cemetery Sept 5 had we known. The picture and article was in the 9/09/09 Wichita Eagle, and only after seeing the photo did I know for sure it was him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. What a great guy Vic was. Lots of good memories.

I would like to send my sincere condolences to Victor’s family.
I wish to express my sincere condolences to the family of Victor Sawyer. I first met Victor in Calgary in 1975. I moved to the U.S. in 1977 and spent time with him in Spokane, Washington and Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a good friend, honest, trustworthy, forthright and one hell of a tennis player. He will be missed. Gordon J. Patterson
