Obituary of SAWYER – Victor Redman

July 5, 1944 – August 27, 2009 Victor Redman Sawyer passed away suddenly of heart failure on Thursday, August 27, 2009 in Calgary. Victor was born on July 5, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas. He was a very loving Dad who consciously worked at improving his relationship with God, his family and friends. His keen interest in cattle and sales led him to travel the prairies and foothills in Canada and the USA. He had an incredible eye for finding the best in breed and best practices for producing and marketing the herd. Now at rest, Victor will be remembered for his faith, kindness, generosity and love for people and animals. He always gave whatever he could to help someone else. Victor is survived by his brother Ara (Linda) of Texas; three half brothers, Paul of California, Don Jr. of California and Richard of Hawaii; half sister Judy of Idaho; former wife Maureen and their daughter Katie (Dennis) all of Calgary; his son Scott and grandchild Tristen both of Calgary as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews in the USA. He was predeceased by parents John Frederick and Viola May Sawyer. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Centre Street Church Main Campus (3900 – 2nd Street N.E.) on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be held at Christ Church Cemetery, Millarville, AB.
