Condolences
I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the whole family. I was completely shocked, and unaware the Jean had even passed away.
My mother Marilyn Constance Stein(maiden name Spani), was daughter to Mrs. Hilda Curry, as was Mrs. Judy Lambertson. Ted and Jean Lord were their uncle and aunt.
I had never been informed of Jeans passing, not even through my immediate family, and after my mother Marilyn Stein(Spani)’s passing on August 1st, 2010, I found myself in a battle with my immediate family, and as such, had wished them all well, and got on with my own life.
I remember as a small child, going with my sister Sandra, and my parents Marilyn and Eldon Stein, to Ted and Jeans Farm and nursery. I clearly remember helping them rescue a small calf that had fallen into the creek by their farm during a heavy rainstorm, and helping Uncle Ted get the little calf loaded into the front bucket of the tractor, so we could nurture it back to health. I also remember helping them deliver a baby calf one trip out to Airdrie with my family. Both Ted and Jean were remarkable people, very hard working, and very helpful to others.
I am happy to say I have them as clearly on my mind every single day, as I do my mom and dad, and my grandmother Hilda Curry. My memories will be with me until my passing day.
I used to do her hair many years ago and lost touch with her once I had kids- I had looked multiple times to find her and just came across this- I am so terribly sorry for all your loss. She was such an amazing woman- I love her dearly
We are so sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. She will always be remembered by us for the hours she spent at the nursery, and the time she was willing to spend with others. We enjoyed our visit with her this Spring and were surprised to read about her death. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Our most sincere condolences.
The boys and I want the family to know how sad we were to hear of Aunty Jean’s passing. I loved the moments we had together especially the hour or longer phone calls. She will be fondly remembered

Jean was my aunt, being married to my mom’s brother Ted Lord. My mom was Dorrie Smith (nee Lord).
Although we did not see each other very often, when we did get to Calgary it was always fun around Jean. I especially liked getting my hands dirty with her at the nurseries.
We send our warmest regards to Jean’s direct family.
