I met Elinor in 1998 when I retired from the CBE. She became a bridge partner, mentor and very good friend. I loved and admired her intelligence, her honesty and her positive, forthright approach to life. She has been, and will remain, a wonderful role model for me.
I will miss her presence in my life.
