I am so sorry to have just learned of Joe’s passing in 2009. I only just stumbled on the obituary while looking for something else. Joe was a great friend of my parent’s, Don and Leone Thomson, of Black Diamond. I fondly remember him as a wonderful, big man with a huge laugh and good heart. He let me tag along with him in his big truck many summers to Cardston, where I spent time with friends at Mountainview. He was there when I was born, and took my dad shopping for a “rabbit sack”, which was his way of saying “bunting bag” for the new baby. He and my dad had a lot of fun together, and I am sure you all miss him. He will be remembered.
