Elaine and Murray Pay – Friday White Hat Volunteers
So glad Lynda went on the 25th Anniversary White Hatters Cruise with us.
She was definitely part of the team and always positive.
How sad I was to hear of Lynda’s death. I was one of the many lives she touched through volunteering together at the Airport. Lynda was so full of laughter and fun. She had a wonderful sense of the ridiculous, and little patience with nonsense. During our often long walks together we would talk about our families,, and it was clear Lynda had a deep love and concern for all her family. Her face lit up when she talked about you. My sincere condolences and sympathy to you all.
I had the pleasure of working with Lynda in the early days of Lester B. Pearson in the early 90s. Having desks close together in the Common Planning Area made for quite the raucous atmosphere with the laughter from our pent up frustrations of the day. She had a wicked grin and laugh and a backbone of steel. It was also lovely to get to know Keith and Andrea in their rate teen ears there. What a Mom she was! What a loss….
So sorry to hear of Lynda’s passing. We attended high school together and she was my bridesmaid in 1966. I had the pleasure of catching up with her about fifteen years ago. She hadn’t changed a bit. Still gregarious and fun loving.
Lynda was very special. If you were sad, her love for life was contagious. If you needed help, she was all giving. She would tackle any endeavour with a positive attitude. I always remember her saying as a teenager, “Hard work never killed anyone”. I repeated those words to myself whenever I had a mountain to climb. She was a woman of steel and compassion. I know her family will miss her.
I will always remember Lynda’s happy disposition, friendly ways and cheerful smile. My sincere condolences to ALL family members.
I volunteered with Lynda on the Friday 11:00am shift. I met her when I joined her shift in March 2017. She took me under her wing and we had many walks and talks. I miss her.
It was my pleasure to have been on the same Friday shift at YYC.She will truly be missed by all on that shift.
To Lynd’a family my sincere condolences!
Dear Bruce, Keith, Andrea and Casey,
My heartfelt condolences to you. I taught with Lynda at Sherwood Community School in the early eighties after moving to Calgary from Ontario. I admired her common sense, her genuine caring for kids and her wish that school be a positive experience for everyone. And of course her giggle brightened everyone’s day! It was evident that Lynda was always very concerned for and very proud of, you, her family. So glad to have met you, Lynda. Your many contributions will be remembered.
So sorry to learn of Linda’s passing. She never failed to brighten my day. Her Laughter so honest. We will miss her.
So sorry to hear of Lynda’s passing. We will all miss her at YYC. She was an amazing woman and was an incredible White Hatter.
Lynda and I volunteered on the same shift at the airport. We enjoyed swapping teacher stories. It’s sad to hear of her passing. She will be missed greatly. May memories of your time together become blessings.
Sending my sincere condolences to Lynda’s family and those who loved her. Lynda and I met and worked at James Fowler High school many years ago..late 1980’s. It was truly a wonderful surprise when she became a White Hat Volunteer and we were able to pick up our friendship like only days had passed by. We had so many hilarious moments at the airport and I am so thankful to have had Lynda back in my life. We had the bond of being Lynda’s with a “y”. RIP Lynda…..
I was so lucky to have met Lynda while working at the airport. She was so kind and we always had a good laugh together. My heart goes out to the family and hope that they find comfort in knowing that her warm heart and kindness stretched far beyond the family. She will be fondly remembered.
My condolences to Bruce and family. Lynda was a very strong lady who stood by her convictions. She loved to teach and was always willing to help others. We shared many good times especially at LCCHS. Rest in peace Lynda. you will be missed.
Dear Bruce and Family,
Pain is a language without words and so untouched by words.
There is nothing I can say or do to ease your sorrow.
I celebrated Lynda’s 12th birthday, moved to Calgary with her, partied, watch our children swim and shared many laughs along the way.
She will certainly be missed.
My thoughts are with all of you as you remember a very special life.
So very sorry Bruce to hear of your loss. Still remember the good times when we lived next door to you .
Our deepest condolences to the family . Linda was a very spontaneous ,fun loving person whose laugh was contagious to all around her. At L.C.C.H.S. she was a respected teacher who encouraged her students and also as a union rep supported her colleagues. R.I.P. Linda.
We are very sorry to hear of your great loss. Remembering many pleasant phone conversations with Lynda. With our thoughts and prayers at this sad & difficult time. Bob & Sylvia
Lynda was like a second mom to me growing up. I spent as much time at her house as I did at my own and she was always happy to let me sleep over, take Andrea and I shopping, and drive a van full of hyper girls to Calaway park. She was there to cheer me on at swim meets, my wedding and every major event in between. Our families spent so many summers camping together and making lasting memories, and in high school I was lucky enough to have her as my math teacher. She was patient, fun, and her smile lit up a room. I know she will be sorely missed by everyone who’s life she touched because she had such a positive impact during her time here. Sending love to Bruce, Keith, Andrea and Casey.
To the Weldrick Family,
I am so saddened to read of Lynda’s passing. Other than Lasalle Catholic I remember Lynda from family gatherings with Mag and Jim, and Bernice and Bill Fyfe.
She had a smile that definitely lit up a room. Lynda is gone way too soon.
R. I.P. and God Bless,
Jeanie McKay Jarvis
Sincere Condolences To Bruce & Family.
Lynda will sorely missed by all she touched. She was always a fun loving lady. We shared good times with laughs and bad times with tears. We have been through thick and thin in the past but remained best friends for about 34 years. We have been to Hawaii , Mexico, California and Arizona but She loved to be in Radium playing golf.
We always had great golf games maybe not great scores but we had good times always laughing and looking forward to the next game.
I sorely miss her. She will be remembered in my heart.
Rest In Peace My Friend.

I will always remember Linda Weldrick, for she taught me math , grade 8, LaSalle Catholic Comprehensive High School. As much as I hated the subject, she was always patient with her students, fun loving, and an amazing and caring person. She made a difference in my life and I will always remember her fondly. Deepest condolences to the family for their loss.

Quinto & I are so sad to be reading about Lynda’s obituary. She has always been larger than life in our minds and quite simply, full of fun but responsible in any role she took on. The world is emptier without our dear friend Lynda. Sincere condolences to her loving family ☘️
I am so so sorry to hear of Lynda’s passing. Sending hugs to the family.
2 years ago during July she tutored my grandson in math so he could get into university. He loved her. We all loved her. She went way beyond what we asked. I am so sad. She was also my friend at the airport.
Jeff & I are so sorry to hear of Lynda’s passing. She was such a funny vibrant co-worker at Canyon Campground in Radium. Lynda always saw the humour in every situation. Dear Bruce,Keith, Andrea and the family,
Sincere sympathies to all!
We have been friends for many years starting in Lasalle and continuing when a group of us moved at the same time to Calgary. Memories of Lynda playing the spoons at parties, having our weddings and births will always remain with me. Lynda was a fun person who will be sadly missed. However, memories of her will last forever!
Rest In Peace Lynda.
Audrey, Derek(Shauna) and Andrew.
It was an absolute pleasure to meet Lynda. I had the privilege to get to know her over the years while working during the summers with her husband, Bruce. She always had a smile on and was willing to talk about anything and everything. There were many times where I would have lunch with her and Bruce and they always made me feel at home. My sincere condolences to Bruce and all the family.
