Condolences
Ed and Florence were our first neighbours when we moved from Montreal to Edmonton with a 10-day old baby in 1965 and we could not have asked for nicer neighbours. Both Ed and Florence had their own quiet way of offering guidance when they felt that we would benefit. And benefit we did – in many ways. It is no wonder that they have remained deeply in our heart and that Ed’s departure is a big loss to us. We offer the family our sincere condolences. Ted & Monique
Dear Auntie Florence, Corilee, Leanne & families;
I know how deeply it hurts to lose the anchor to your family, however we need to take comfort in the fact that Uncle Ed is now in a better place where there is no pain or suffering…..only love, and sunshine. I can only imagine Uncle Ed reunited with all the family members who have passed before him and I am sure he is waiting patiently for the rest of us to join him one day. Imagine the reunion he is planning for all of us!!! Rest in peace Uncle Ed until we meet again. Love Always; Cyndi, Tom, Chris, Patrick and families.
Dear Aunt Florence, Corilee, Leanne & Family,
It was so very sad to hear of Uncle Ed’s passing. My deepest condolences. Losing a husband, a father, a grandfather, family member and a best friend is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. Uncle Ed’s goodness, his caring and his wisdom live on, like a legacy of love. My memories of Uncle are happy memories. One of the greatest memories or gifts that Uncle Ed left us, my daughters Jaime and Lindsey, myself and all Keryluk family members is his “Keryluk Family” lineage research documents. Uncle Ed was a proud Canadian who celebrated his Ukrainian heritage. The Meleb Tigers live forever.
I will always cherish the visits that were had….the many trips out to Meleb, touring the country side with Uncle Ed and my Dad (Elmer) usually in the back of the box of the truck siting on lawn chairs (not going to lie….but there may have been a case of beer to accompany such outings) and yes the initiations that were done to new members of the family (and existing ones!). Uncle Ed….you always had a smile on your face and always put a smile on others…you never forgot my birthday and always sent kind words and thoughts to me and my girls…Aunt Florence, Cori and Leanne….my thoughts are with you and know that Uncle Ed will not be forgotten…..he will live on through us with the values that was instilled upon us from him.
As my Uncle and Godfather, Uncle Ed was always an inspiration and example of how one should treat his fellow man with compassion and caring. My admiration of his intelligence, source of knowledge and influence on my personal attitudes and business acumen, will forever remain with me. I trust that I’ll be able to live up to the high standards he has set for all of us who knew him and with whom he shared his life. My God bless and console Aunt Florence, Corilee and Leanne for sharing your partner and Dad with us.
Eddie, as my mom would call him, was a man who always saw the glass half full. He always had time for a joke, a smile, and show us how important family truly was. He took the time to accumulate as many branches of our family tree as possible. I always looked forward for visits to and from Uncle Ed and Auntie Florence. And Brian will always remember the family reunion parade, the initiations and the hair of the dog that Uncle Ed and Uncle Elmer planned for our entertainment. Thank you Uncle Ed for everything you did for our family and help making us what we are today, all caught on film. Auntie Florence, Cori and Leanne, my sincere condolences.
