I went to Holland Park primary school in Brisbane with Doug when he was living in Australia from about 1964 to 1967. He was a great kid with a kind nature.

I still remember his first game of Rugby League knowing only Grid Iron from Canada, the States.

He got the ball, tucked it under his arm and went for broke.

My condolences to his parents and sister Susan who if I remember correctly was nicknamed Mitzy.
