Condolences
Travis Rott I played hockey with Clayton. My last memory of Gord I was driving down elbow drive closed in 2006 rolled the window down and so did he and we just said hi to each other. He was a very supportive hockey day for Clayton and us his team mates. Having him pop in my memory today brought a smile to my face and the desire to help with mental health.
My condolences to Gord’s family and friends. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Although I hadn’t seen Gord since the late 80’s, and had only spoken with him occasionally on the phone through the years, I still considered him to be one of the best friends I’ve ever had. He was a good influence and the best wingman a guy could have had back in those fun years. May he rest in peace.
I just found out today Dec. 26 2014 that my dear friend GORD passed away. I am shocked and deeply saddened by this news. My sincerest belated condolences go out to the entire HORVAT family. GORD was a very good friend to me and the most courageous man I have ever known. He had the heart of a LION!! I was proud to have him as my best man at our wedding. I was just as proud to be the best man at his. GORD introduced me to my two great passions, first golf and later my wife of 27yrs. THANK YOU GORD!!! Nobody has ever made me laugh as hard as GORD did, consistently! Except for my wife I have never had a better FRIEND. YOU WILL BE MISSED MY DEAR FRIEND YOU WILL BE MISSED!
Every now and then I think of you (Gordon David)– your memory lives on through Clayton(my nephew) … I don’t think I had the time to say I love you…however, now Clayton has heard me say — I love you.”When we look through the world of eyes of hope; we can seek out God’s best and everyday becomes a promise.
Sister, Beverly
