Condolences
Mr. Barbuto was my French teacher at St. Matthews. You could just tell he loved teaching. I remember singing Michelle Ma Belle at one of the performances put on for parents.
Just looking at photos from Bishop Grandin High School “Genies en herbes” team. Mr. Barbuto was our coach one year. I wondered what happened with Aldo. So sad to hear he passed away much too early. My sincere condolences to Mr. Barbuto’s family.
This is unpleasant surprise and many years after the fact. As with Rosana, Google brought me to this page. Aldo was a teacher of mine and a highlight of my Junior High education. Kind, smart and inquiring; he engendered a spirit of respect and learning in his class delivered in an avuncular, approachable style. So very rare. Though I was never a terrific student of French, what I know of it (and have used a few times) is due exclusively to him. His untimely passing must certainly be a loss to his family, to them I extend my sincere condolences.
Greetings…5 years late…I’m a former student of Mr. Barbuto’s, and have just moved back to Calgary from Los Angeles; I was chatting with a friend about Mr. Barbuto, our beloved French teacher from junior high school, and a quick google search pulled up this page; we are so very sorry, and can’t tell you how much he meant to us, and what joie de vivre he brought to our lives, introducing us to French culture for the first time. I happened to become an opera singer, so Mr. Barbuto’s influence on my career was permanent & profound! Best regards to your family. Our most sincere condolences on the loss of this great, kind man.
