Obituary of Aldo Saverio Barbuto
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Aldo Barbuto announce his passing on Sunday, May 14, 2006 following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 57 years.
Aldo was a very passionate person with a zest for life. He was a traveler, a poet, a talented chef, and a caring educator. He was an intellectual with an appreciation for the arts, history and music and his knowledge and love of good food and wine enhanced every gathering of family and friends. He touched the lives of many, and will be remembered for his dedication, integrity, quick wit and energetic spirit.
Aldo is survived by his love, Caroline; his three cherished sisters and brothers-in-law, Maria and Vincenzo Sacco, Dorina and Peter Zappa, and Frances and Tony Casello. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families, and numerous relatives and friends. Aldo was predeceased by his father, Bruno; his mother, Maddalena; his brother, Saverio; and his great-niece Renee.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) today, Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 – 90th Avenue S.E.) on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.
