Condolences
Hi Miss Lorna and Family,
We are sorry to hear about Wayne’s passing. We would like to extend our sincere condolences to you and your family. Thanks to you and your family for allowing us at St Teresa Place to be a part of his life. He will be truly missed. He had a great sense of humor, a contagious smile and He gives the nicest compliments. He always reminds me that he loves Hockey and the staff would find a Flames game on the computer and they would watch it together. Thanks for being a great support to him and the staff here at St Teresa Place. May his soul rest in peace and may life perpetual shine on him.

Dear Lorna and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. We truly enjoyed his friendship and sense of humour when he served as a White Hat Volunteer at the Calgary International Airport. Please know we are thinking of you. May your fond memories carry you through the difficult days ahead.
Lorna, Cathy, Emma and Heather: We have been feelling very close to you, recalling the vacations we spent together. Remember the challenges of finding Vegas restaurants that would take our six small children when Wayne said he hadn’t come all the way to Vegas to eat at McDonalds? Or the rattlesnake that crossed our hiking path in Arizona? Or the storms of protest we endured when we accidentally took our teen-age girls to a campsite with no showers? And I don’t think we can ever forget the way Wayne represented the six geese a-laying when we sang Twelve Days of Christmas. Our hearts are with you in this sad time, but we are endlessly grateful for all the happy memories we made together.
Much love from David & Wendy
Dear Lorna and family,
I’m left with some lovely memories at the top of the escalator with Wayne in his white stetson and red vest. Chit chat while waiting for the hordes off the flight from Narita. I smile just thinking of Wayne’s way. Quiet, gentle and quite a hoot. I’m also left with sorrow that his last three years had to be so difficult for him…but I have faith that there is no Resurrection without Good Friday…I know you get my drift. You and the girls and your extended family are in my thoughts and prayers.
from a fellow White Hat Volunteer, thoughts and prayer for the family, thank you for your volunteer time at our YYC airport, I know your picture is on somebody’s fridge or in a photo album somewhere in the world. I tip my White Hat to you Wayne.
My heartfelt condolences to Lorna and the family. I worked with
Wayne for many years at Amoco and had many a pleasant chat with
him during breaks from hours of coding. I fondly remember his broad grin when I would skip and hop to his office and he would moan “uh oh, time to bring out the shovel” He was a really nice and sharp guy from whom I learned some nifty database techniques How sad that the ravages of Alzheimer’s took such a good fellow. RIP
We are so sorry for your loss. Our condolences and thoughts are with you. Wayne touched the lives of many giving back to the communities in which he was involved. We are glad to know both of you and wish you peace and happy memories.
Hilger and I really enjoyed volunteering with Wayne at the airport. He was very gentle and very quick to smile. We have missed him. Lorna, we send wishes that you will receive the support and understanding you need at this time.

I’m so sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. He was always a friendly, kind soul who I always enjoyed talking, joking and laughing with. From volunteering to visiting after a service, I always looked forward to talking with him. My Dad and Wayne also had a fun relationship, and I remember them always laughing together.

Dear Lorna and family.
With great sadness and a heavy heart I am passing on my sympathy and condolenses to you on the passing of Wayne. Wayne was a great friend and co worker to both my father (Mel) and myself for many years at Amoco. Wayne worked on and solved many data base issues for us in the Controllers dept. Waynes love for Flames was also on display as we sat beside him and Peter Palmer cheering and voicing our thoughts about the hockey game.
I understand Wayne last few years have not been so good. But please remember he will be greeted on the otherside by his friends. Remember the good times and have many memories. I myself do have of Wayne, a true great guy.

Dear Lorna & Family, Our hearts are sad and empty at this sad news. Our memories of Wayne go back many years to the mid80s. He & Barb were Sunday School teachers together, sharing the leadership of the prekindergarten class that had 26 or more little kids! He was a very spiritual man & a joy to work with. Jack remembers him as someone always ready to volunteer when called upon to do so. We will always remember his joyful laugh & that little giggle he often gave when something struck his funny-bone. He will be missed. Our deep sympathy to you all. May healing grace surround you all. Barb & Jack
