Obituary of Melvin Louis James Hulse

Melvin Hulse of Calgary passed away on Friday, December 16, 2005 after complications from a stroke at the age of 74 years. The youngest of seven children, Mel was born near Aneroid, SK in 1931 and moved to Calgary in 1960. He worked in the printing industry for most of his life, working for various companies and running his own businesses. Mel is survived by his son Doug and granddaughter Carly; son Mel Jr. and daughter-in-law Lynne; daughter Coral; and their mother Jo Marie. Mel is also survived by his brother Ulva and sister-in-law Agnus of Lethbridge; nephew Jim Robertson and his wife Geri of Victoria; nephew David Hulse and his wife Lorraine of Calgary; niece Cholorene Benka and family of Kewaunee, WI; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Mel was predeceased by his parents Ella and David; and his sisters, Gladys, Thelma, Peg, and Velma; and brother Mervyn. The family sincerely thanks Dr. Kelly Young for his care over many years. The family is also very grateful for the excellent care Mel received during his time at the Foothills Hospital, as well as the care he received in recent years at the Rockyview Hospital and Glenmore Auxiliary.
