Condolences
Sincere condolences to the Hetherington family. “Mrs Hetherington” was our across the street neighbour for years and I knew her intermittently working at Reitman’s etc. She was sparkling, thoughtful, a joyous person and proud Scot, who I was glad to have known. I would like to say particularly to Beth, (the first Calgarian I met who was my age), that I am sorry for your loss, I know her legacy lives on in you and the rest of your family.
Dear Beth, Donald & B0b,
It was with sadness that we read of your Mother’s recent passing. We cherish the years that we spent as close next door neighbours in Killarney. Cis & Erny were always so kind and good to us. I recall the time when Scott was longing to have a dog and they allowed him to take Mugs for a walk on the leash. He was very surprised to learn that this also included having to pick up the poo as well! Not sure how many times he walked him after that first experience!
Enjoy your happy memories and know that they were special
friends to us and will remain fondly in our memory.
With our sincere sympathy,
Anne, Ken, Scott, Andrea & Courtney Marchand.
On behalf of all the members of the Calgary Police Veterans’ Association, our sympathy is extended to the family of Cis (Sarah) Hetherington who passed away on June 2,2017. Especially the older members of our group will remember the long period of service that her husband, Erny, gave as a member of the Calgary Police, but many too will have known Cis personally and will recall the happy social occasions shared with her. We feel sure that her large extended family will find comfort in remembering the many happy times spent together with her over the years.
To the family of Sarah Hetherington our sincere condolences for the passing of your loved one.
We remember both Cis and Erny very well. Erny was my drill, firearms, first aid and self defence instructor in recruit training in 1959, and they both attended many of the same social functions that we did, over many years. They were very fine people . May they both rest in peace, united again. Our condolences to all family members. Doug and Gayle Green
So many fond memories of Cis, especially when I was a little girl and we just had to visit Reitmans to see if she was working. I am so happy that my grandparents, Dave and Aileen Huffman had so many wonderful friends that they shared with all of us grandchildren. Truly blessed!
