My father, 1SGT Robert Torrence, and SSG Max Pasley, were best friends during WWII. They were in Hq. Battery, 528th Artillery Battalion these photos were taken in Hersbruck, Germany, in late April, 1945, just after the Germans they were fighting in the Ruhr Pocket surrendered. My younger brother, Max W. Torrence, was named after Max Pasley. I’ve only discovered some things from my dads’s service and found this connection. I would love to connect with any of Max’s family to share some of the things regarding the two of them that I have.
