Condolences
My sincerest condolences. Not only did we meet a great man in the SAIT Power Engineering and industry world, he also became a good friend. My peers alike still talk about the fun we had during our brief two year stint with Alan. I was a former Student of his.
God Bless

Dear Judy,

Judy, I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your beloved husband, Alan. May the following poem bring you and the family comfort.
TO THOSE I LOVE AND WHO LOVE ME
When I am gone, release me. Let me go
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy, we had so many years.
I gave you my love and you can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown
But now it’s time I traveled on alone.
So grieve a while for me if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It’s only for a while that we must part
So bless those memories in your heart.
I won’t be far away for life goes on
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near
with all my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile and “Welcome You Home”.

One of my memories of Alan is when he visited us in Yarmouth, NS. He loved the ocean, Cape Forchu, and the little restaurant where he loved the bread pudding…..in fact, we had to return to this same place, The Mug Up, before he and Judy left so that he could have another serving of the bread pudding. I think Alan would have lassoed that Cape, beach, and ocean if it was possible and taken it back to his home.
May you RIP, dear Alan, “Rejoice In Paradise”! Love, Christine McGuire
