Condolences
Kathy was my first cousin on my mother’s side. She was only a few months younger than I was. When we were about twelve/ thirteen, Kathy came to our family cottage in Bancroft where we had much fun.
Kathy always will be remembered by me as a vibrant active young lady, whom I wish we could have known better.
My condolences to all her family out west!
Sincerely,
Mary H. Kavanagh (Muncy)
Even though I did not really know Kathleen I remember her mother visiting Ottawa years ago with her and Kerri. Our mothers were sisters and I have thought about the family over the years and thought that some day if I ever went out West I would look them up. I am sorry this never happened. It sounds like she was a great lady that I never got to know.
On behalf of the Murray family from Ottawa please accept our condolences on your loss.

Jerry and family, I learned the terrible news about Kathy this morning via email message from Lu. For reasons which I cannot explain, I had been thinking of her for a few days around Christmas – perhaps it was because my family wanted to learn some basic bridge while they visited from Calgary. I remembered our bridge weekend in Victoria. And, why was that one of the few times we got together to play bridge, I don’t know but deeply regret it. I will remember the fun luncheon fashion shows for Norm’s Ski Hut at The Inn on Lake Bonavista, enjoying a cocktail before pulling on those heavy ski suits and then mingling with the crowd upstairs. We did have plenty of giggles! I have pulled out a photo taken with Kathy during a visit with Betty Flock in Victoria – happier times for sure, and wonderful memories. I will join you in spirit tomorrow. I wish you peace, comfort and send love from both Ed and me.
Jerry,
My heart goes out to you and Ryan and Kyle, their wives and your grandchildren on the loss of your beloved Kathy.
Your Kathy was such a wonderful woman and I can close my eyes and see her wonderful smile and that great laugh she always had for others and her zest for life. She loved you all so dearly and I wish you all comfort in your many memories of your life together now and in the days to come to sustain you through this difficult time. I am thinking of you all.
