Condolences
We are thinking about Darren especially today as his friends and associates gather to pay their respects. Darren and I had an interesting relationship, one that I treasure. As the ‘factory guy’ he often saw me as ‘one of the suits’ but over the years as we spent more and more time together we built a relationship that only strong conversation and mutual respect can create. It was so gratifying for me to see him becoming the manager and the man that he had planned to be. Life is sometimes not fair but lucky is the person who takes control of their own destiny. He talked once about eventually returning home to his beloved Maritimes and who knows, maybe he is there now. Wherever you are my friend, rest in peace. Ron and Deb Nichols
I was fortunate to have gotten to known Darren over the past 2 years. He was a terrific person who always had a smile and time for everyone in spite of how busy he was. It was easy to see that he had the respect of everyone who knew him. He will be very much missed.
I’m so sorry to hear about Darren. He was so full of life and had that sparkle in his eye. I worked at the Bargain Finder Press and Darren was a customer. He was always so nice to work with and he was loved and respected by all.
I’m so honoured to have worked with Darren. Every time he would visit our office in Edmonton he always had a big smile.
He always helped me whenever I asked and was never more than a phone call away. Truly a humble gentlemen and I’m grateful for the time I spent with him.
My coldonances to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace Darren, thank you for always being such a pleasure to be around.
Our sincere condolences to you Mary and all of your family

I am so sorry for your loss. The time I spent with Darren always filled with laughter and good natured ribbing about our respective shortcomings! He always had a smile on his face and was always the level-headed in the group. Our meetings at the Montreal auctions, along with the rest of the ‘western posse’, were always the highlights of going to those dreary things, and made the business that much more palatable. He was a terrific guy, a good friend, and I am better for knowing him. May the family be spared further sorrow.
