Obituary of Joan Annette OSBORNE

February 13, 1937 – November 30, 2016 Joan (nee Wensrich) beloved wife of Clifford Osborne of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the age of 79 years. Joan was born on February 13, 1937 in Edmonton, AB and was a lifelong resident of Calgary. She met Cliff Osborne and they were married on August 17, 1957, they had three children. Joan was an avid volunteer, and volunteered for many, many years at the Elbow Park Elementary School Library. She was a talented arts and crafts person, particularly pottery, quilting and knitting. Joan was an enthusiastic traveler; her favourite trips included a cruise on the Mediterranean, visits to Japan, and exploring Costa Rica. She belonged to a number of social circles; old friends from her school days, friends from her years in Michigan, friends from work at the Purple Orchid and Gams, neighbourhood friends, and many, many more important social circles. Besides her loving husband Cliff, she will be deeply missed by her children Dan, Doug and Carolyn, son-in-law Don Catalano and daughter-in-law Keiko Suzuki and her grandchildren Brian, Christy and Emiko. A celebration of life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W.
