Obituary of Marilyn Merle OTT

December 21, 1951 – Swift Current, Saskatchewan October 13, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta Marilyn passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 13, 2016 in Calgary, AB at age of 64. Marilyn was born in Swift Current, SK, then later moved to Fort McMurray, AB to start her career as a Benefits Administrator at Suncor Energy. Several years later, she transferred to Calgary, AB as she moved nearer to her retirement. Marilyn was admired by many for raising her son Kari on her own. She acquired more friends and acquaintances through work, golf, and socializing with friends in her short 64 years than anyone can keep track of. Marilyn met and eventually married her best friend, Sid Ott. Mare had passions for Golf (she scored 3 hole in ones!), sewing, spending time with family/friends, watching cooking and murder mystery shows, playing darts, travelling, and figure skating. She will be missed dearly by many. Marilyn is survived by her husband Sidney Lawrence Ott, son Kari Lines, daughter-in-law Amanda (Mandy) Lines, step children Chris Ott, Aaron Ott, Kelly Armstrong, and Shaun Armstrong; grandchildren Keira Lines, Jaya Lines, and Shay Lines, step grandchildren Riley Ott, Connor Ott, and Isaac Armstrong. Marilyn was predeceased by her father Milton Lines, mother Violet Lines, brothers Gerry Lines, Ron Lines, and Lloyd Lines. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Reception & Celebration of Life to be held at The Stonewall Pub, #12 – 735 Ranchlands Blvd N.W., Calgary, AB, at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
