Condolences
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Fergusson. I worked with him when I was at AltaGas and remember his kindness and great humour.
My deepest condolences to Mr. Fergusson’s family and friends.
Dear Lindy and Family
I was so sorry to hear the sad news. Hugh gave me my first job out of university at Dow and went on to be a supporter throughout my career after I left Dow. He was a kind gracious man who exemplified what a great leader should be. He will be greatly missed by me and by everyone in the industry.
He was a wonderful fellow, such a loss for his family and community.
Dear Lindy and Kendra, please accept my heartfelt condolences. Hugh was a wonderful man who accomplished so much during his life. He was always a pleasure to be around and to speak with. My hope is that your many fond memories of Hugh will assuage the grief you now feel.
Dear Fergusson family,
Salena and I are very saddened to hear of Hugh’s passing. Both of us knew Hugh through cycling and I also had the pleasure of working with him at Canexus. Hugh was a great person to have met and I was always impressed by how well he treated everybody. He will be missed and our thoughts are with you.

I was shocked and saddened by Hugh’s passing and want to express my sincere condolences to his family. Hugh made a positive impact on me personally and I will miss him. Our relationship spans several decades from his days at Dow where our friendship was based on trust and fairness, a warm relationship that expanded into our personnel lives. It does not seem possible that we will no longer share frequent golf games with our long term foursome, at Country Hills. Our adventures included a trek through the Grand Canyon and a special trip to St. Andrews. Hugh was always the voice of reason and shared in some memorable and humorous experiences. Just knowing Hugh enriched my life and I will miss him.
Dear Lindy and family,
We were surprised and saddened to hear about Hugh. We have fond memories of biking with the two of you in Apulia. Hugh was such a gracious model for the pictures and, Lindy, we enjoyed the way you decorated your bike handles each day with wild flowers. Know you are in our hearts.

Hilary and I were stunned and deeply saddened to hear of Hugh’s passing. Looking back over many years it was a pleasure first knowing Hugh in business, he was always a gentleman to deal with, and one with great integrity. I count myself fortunate to also have known Hugh outside of business and always enjoyed his company. He will be very much missed. Our sympathies and sincere condolences to all the family.

Hugh was a very good person…a real classy guy! He look at the better and more positive side of life. On bike rides he always had a smile on his face, regardless how much he was hurting going up some of those steep hills. I will think of him often when I need a boost in energy to get up the hill. Lindy,
Our deepest sympathies to you and your family in the loss of Hugh. We have fond memories of Hugh from Eau Claire Y Sunday morning spin classes. We enjoyed hearing about all the trips and how Hugh often provided his own spin on these adventures which often included witty comments. We consider ourselves privileged to have known Hugh.
Please take care and all the best

Dear Lindy

Pam & I are saddened to hear of Hugh’s passing. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family at this time.
I very much appreciated our friendship and business relationship over the years.
Please accept my sincere condolences on Hugh’s passing. We had worked together at IMC and AESO. I also know how much he contributed to Alberta PCs over the years. He will be sadly missed by not only his family but by a host of others whose lives he touched.
Lindy, I was so sorry to hear your news from Marilyn — and to know that you had to cope with everything in a foreign country. That had to be really tough.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Lindy and Family
We were shocked and saddened to see the notice of Hugh’s passing. We enjoyed Hugh’s conversation and a glasse or two of wine on our bike tour in Sicily last year. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

Kendra and the Fergusson Family:
Extremely sorry to hear of your father’s passing. Hugh and I were business acquaintances long before I worked with you, and always recall the thoughful discussions over the years. He will be missed by all.
Deepest sympathies,

Dear Lindy and Family
It’s not that often in business where customers become like family. I met Hugh during our first year of business in Calgary in 2006. He supported us every year since which we are very grateful. It’s not the business we’ll miss from Hugh, but his smile and positive demeanor week after week. I always thought, “one day I want to retire like Hugh.” A man who has seen a lot and had life in perspective. He was always there to encourage me and to keep TCR to keep going. I am forever grateful. Hugh and I had some memorable moments riding crazy hills from California to the Okanagan, always giving his best. We’ll miss his presence and calming smile. A great soul.
I am very sorry to hear of Hugh’s passing.
I met him at Martin’s spin class and when we were both there we always had our bikes side by side. We also chatted often at the health club downstairs as recently as a couple of days before your cycling trip to Europe.
He always had a smile on his face and a kind word. A true gentleman.
May he rest in peace.
Dear Fergusson family,
Heidi and I are so very sorry to hear of Hugh’s passing. Your family has always been an incredible energy and support to those around you and I will never forget Hugh’s spirit, his determination, his kindness and his love for his family. In our time together, I was always inspired by Hugh’s care for Lindy, Keith and Kendra; through empowering in others his passion for cycling, to the selfless way that he always shared his time to make others feel welcome. Hugh will continue to be an inspiration through the lessons that he taught us and through the memories that we have with him. Our deepest thoughts and prayers,
-John
Lindy and family:
Both Michael and I are terribly saddened by this news. Our cycle group was so welcoming and enjoyable, and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing you both most every Sunday, and of course sharing our Bownesian stories when we lived there.
Our condolences go out to you during this difficult time.
Dear Lindy, Kendra and Keith,
Our deepest condolences to each of you. He was an amazing person to work for and with. He was a champion for all his staff and encouraged us to be the best we could.
I feel very lucky to have had him in my corner.
Dear Lindy and family,
Dan and I are very saddened by your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dan and Maureen
Enjoyed working with Hugh, a gentleman and humble
Lindy:
Karen and I were shocked and saddened to learn of Hugh’s passing. He was a great director for us at Provident Energy. But much more than that, he was a kind and thoughtful person who was always a pleasure to be around. I particularly enjoyed hearing of your latest cycling adventure, always bucket list items for the rest of us.
Unfortunately I will be travelling on a business trip that can’t be moved, so unable to attend Hugh’s memorial on Wednesday, but we will be thinking of him. His passing is a tremendous loss.
