So sorry to hear of Roberta’s passing, Jocelyn. Roberta was full of life and her wit and her smile were such a blessing to those around her. She will be missed. My deepest condolences.

To Jocelyn and family, our thoughts are with you through this difficult time. Know her spirit is now free and soaring. Roberta will remain in our hearts always.

It is difficult to describe Roberta so unbelievably full of energy, to think of never seeing her again over lunch (glass of wine) or talking on the phone is hard to comprehend. As Bonnie so succinctly put it one of the originating “Bitumen Girls” .

To her family my heart goes out to you she was way too young and full of life to leave.

To Roberta – I think of you often and shake my head in disbelief.

Roberta was not only a friend, but a trusted confidant and mentor. We have worked along side each other for over 20 years in various aspects of oil and gas. She is one of the original Bitumen girls that has left us far too early. We had many plans in store for our retirement, she led the way in retirement and was going to do the planning for us. She will so be missed by us all.

To the family, my sincerest condolences, she died way too young. Her quick wit and gregarious laughter will echo in my mind. Very much looking forward to the memorial.

I worked with Roberta for the last 10 years as an owner of a small land broker firm that does regular work for Cenovus. She always treated us very fairly and was always a pleasure to work for and with. Her honesty and ability to cut to the chase were a great strength. She will be missed as she made our job fun and interesting.

I’m sorry to hear of Roberta’s passing. I worked with Roberta for many years. She was kind, always up for a laugh, and taught me to be confident in embracing one’s style.

I’m shocked.. what a sad and tragic loss for someone so young and full of life. I worked with Roberta for many years at EnCana and Cenovus and was always impressed by her expertise, work ethic and humour. We socialized on many occasions and shared many good stories and laughs. I’ll remember her fondly.

Mike, no one can or should understand what losing a child is like.

Jocelyn, Colette, Pat and Louie….my thoughts are with you all losing a sister and a friend entirely too early. Karen taught me that our energy never dies, and my best advice is to find things that remind you of Roberta, and always keep her memory alive and her spirit close to you when you need it.

To the rest of the family and friends, my deepest sympathies.

Life is obviously short. Never forget that and know Roberta will always have a place within our hearts. The next chapter of her book continues ….
