My brother, Edwin Pahl, was the eternal Optimist! He preferred to look on the bright side of things. He knew it was useless to fret over things that he could not change and had no control over. He was also justifiably very proud of ‘his girls’ and of course his Grandchildren, and that he was always able to provide for his family throughout the years. Considering he arrived as young man, penniless, with no language skills and limited education, he and wife Lucy did a remarkable job raising their family. He took great pride in the fact that his offspring all were self-sufficient and productive citizens, never needing parental assistance to ‘make it’ in this world. You did well, brother Ed, you did well!! Rest in Peace!
